Grace & Style
DARE TO DREAM BIG.
The Grace and Style Project is a book that highlights Black Female Doctors located in the United States. This project is designed to showcase their beauty and intellect so that our children would desire to become doctors and give back to the community. In addition, this book would challenge them to dream big and fulfill their life’s purpose no matter the obstacle. I AM A DOCTOR has over forty doctors in varying disciplines participating in this project. Through a sense of storytelling, they share how they reached their goals and overcame various obstacles. These magnificent women all share the belief in developing a team of sisters, a tribe, and a network in reaching the ultimate goal to proclaim — I Am a Doctor.
Written to Inspire
Photographer Orlett Pearson McCall created this project to capture the imagination of our children by showing them what beauty in Black looks like and be mesmerized by Black Glamour and Intelligence. In reading “Grace & Style,” our children will notice intellect depicted by the letters after these featured Doctors’ names, which identify what could be accomplished—what they could accomplish. These are Orlett’s hopes, dreams, and vision behind this project. And as a result, you will be inspired too.

BE INSPIRED WITH
Grace & Style

Once you achieve your goals, you must find a way to give back to your community at large. You must encourage, support, and motivate someone else along the way who may need to be inspired.
Dr. Crystal Collins Broussard, MD Gastroenterology
To our children and young doctors, do not listen to limitations placed on you by others; there is a place for you in medicine.
Dr. Ijeoma Nnopdim Opara, MD. FAAP Internal Medicine and Pediatrics
Our children need to see professionals that look like them, especially doctors.
